That is exactly what Schouten Zekerheid offers. As an insurance broker, we are the link between you and the insurers and we act in your best interest. This is what we have been doing since 1953; our family firm has existed for more than 65 years. Thanks to autonomous growth and various mergers, we have grown to become one of the largest, independent insurance brokers in the Netherlands.

Strongly rooted in society

Corporate Social Responsibility

We take our responsibility seriously, also when it comes to social issues. That is why we have a CSR policy that focuses on our social, ecological and economic role.

We express this via various initiatives. We work paper-free as much as possible and we stimulate our business relations to use digital invoices and policies. Those documents that are still sent by mail are sent CO2-neutral. We also work together with Maasstad Hospital in making the facility more sustainable by way of solar energy generated by the Schouten Tower.

We also implement our knowledge and experience to make a contribution to solving social and economic problems, and this includes sponsoring athletes at the highest level. Among others, we are the proud sponsors of Rotterdam Sports Icons, Hockey Club Rotterdam and Rotterdam Topsport.

Independent and customer-oriented

We are a fully independent and objective broker. Because there are so many insurance companies in the Netherlands, it is not possible to request quotations from every single organisation. That is why we base the advice we give to our business relations on an analysis of a number of available and comparable financial services. We regularly select insurers that we believe offer a good price/performance ratio. In the selection process, we primarily focus on the quality of the policy conditions and the premium, and also the claims handling and efficiency. In this selection process, we also involve our affiliate Schouten Zekerheid Assuradeuren B.V.

Schouten Tower

360-degree view

Since 1997, we have been located in the Schouten Tower at the foot of the Van Brienenoord bridge. Every day, approximately 250,000 cars drive by this tower which is situated along the A16 highway in the Rivium Business park. Our Schouten Tower can also be admired in MiniWorld Rotterdam, between the Euromast and Erasmus bridge landmarks.
